Interests:
My research interests
have centered on the impacts of information and communication
technologies (ICT) on individuals and organizations. This has resulted
in several streams of research. First and foremost is the use of ICTs
to support distributed work such as telecommuting, hoteling, and virtual
teams. This includes the area of computer-mediated communications. The
second stream of research relates to the use of telecommunication
technologies for electronic business, broadly defined to include
e-commerce and e-government. My particular interests in this domain
include defining website success, and investigating security, privacy,
and trust issues related to web and electronic environments.
Preferred Methodologies:
My earlier work focused
on positivist approaches with field survey research and the related
multivariate analysis methods, including structural equation modeling.
I have recently been conducting more qualitative research with case
studies, interviews, and focus groups.
