Research Interests:

I am a behavioral researcher trained in both quantitative and qualitative methods. Research topics that interest me are IT personnel research, research on gender and diversity in the IT workforce, IT training, IT outsourcing, offshore outsourcing, innovation adoption and implementation, trust among individuals or among firms, and meta-analysis. In terms of specific research methods, I am comfortable with a variety of quantitative methods (including covariance-based SEM, event study research, meta-analysis, and other traditional quantitative methods). Some of my publications are based on qualitative, case studies, so I am comfortable with theory-building and theory-testing with qualitative data as well. Unlike some other qualitative researchers, however, I am not a specialist in specific theories in areas such as structuration theory, hermeneutics, actor-network theory, or critical realism — so if your research is based on the latter types of theoretical lenses, then I'm not the most appropriate person.
