My research is at the intersection of information technology and
organizations. I am interested in strategic and organizational
issues pertaining to information technologies. I have conducted a
wide variety of studies on organizational adoption of various types of
technologies and the impact of these technologies at the organizational
and interorganizational units of analysis, including the supply chain
level. Although much of my work has been positivist and empirical
in nature, using laboratory experiments and field surveys, I am
certainly open to other methods of inquiry. However, I am a
believer that the research inquiry should be firmly rooted in
meaningful theory bases and that the nature of the problem and
associated research questions should drive the method chosen to examine
them.
