My research aim is to improve the world's understanding of how people and organizations can make more effective use of information technology.  For me, this requires understanding (1) how IS success should be conceptualized and measured, and (2) the mechanisms individuals and organizations may use to increase benefits from their investments in information technology.

My research is primarily empirical and positivist, using both qualitative and quantitative data collected through case study and survey methods.  From a methodological standpoint, I am also  particularly interested in the generalizability of research findings to settings other than those where the data were collected (settings with different contexts).
