Research Interests:

I study the roles of information technology (IT) and knowledge management (KM) in performance, growth, innovativeness, risk-return profiles, and regulatory compliance efforts of organizations.  I am particularly interested in understanding how IT and KM capabilities enable organizations to achieve superior risk-return in the following phenomena:
  • Corporate diversification
  • Corporate mergers and acquisition
  • Corporate divestitures
  • Outsourcing and offshoring
  • Hypercompetition within industries
  • Multimarket competition within and across industries
  • Regulatory compliance (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act)
