My research is focused on the organizational and societal level, for example I am involved in the LSE's Identity Project on the UK proposals for a national Identity Card Infrastructure and have written on how technology and regulation interact. I have a strong interest in the application of social theory, particularly actor-network theory. I have also written on the use of methods in systems development and research methodology more generally, as well as reflecting on the state of the IS community more generally.
In terms of research approach, most of my work is based on qualitative case studies, although I recognize and welcome top quality work from all research traditions.
